FLAGSHIP FEATURE
FlySakhi: Drone Queens of Bharat
From the farm gate to the flight path. The strategic questions of GAVCDD are tested at the last mile, and FlySakhi shows what a good answer looks like.
FlySakhi is a CSRNAM digital initiative that brings the Cooperative Economic Framework to women farmers through technology. A first cohort of 25 rural women is being trained and certified as drone trainers. TiHAN–IIT Hyderabad provides the technology and flight training. IRMA provides rural-management, cooperative-linkage and trainer-development inputs.
The training journey
- Classroom instruction
- Simulator practice
- Supervised flying
- Advanced AI & Air Mobility
- Cooperative enterprise
The aim is to turn farm workers into technology entrepreneurs who will train the next generation themselves.
In the International Year of the Woman Farmer, the certified cohort will be felicitated on the main stage of GAVCDD: a deliberate statement that the future of agricultural technology includes the women who feed the world.
