Agriculture & Sustainable Food Systems
Agriculture is the foundation of rural India’s economy. CNRI strengthens the entire value chain — from inputs and extension to production, aggregation, storage, processing, branding, logistics and exports — so farmers participate not only as producers but as entrepreneurs and value creators. Special emphasis is placed on small and marginal farmers, women farmers and tribal communities.
Cooperatives & the Social Economy
CNRI is a leading advocate of the Cooperative Economic Framework, integrating farmers, producer organisations, cooperatives and SHGs into efficient economic networks. Cooperatives are not merely a business model but a governance framework capable of delivering inclusive growth and building resilient local economies.
Digital Inclusion & Financial Literacy
Working with governments, financial institutions and technology partners — and drawing on its OECD-INFE affiliation — CNRI promotes digital and financial literacy so rural communities, women, youth and vulnerable groups are not left behind in India’s digital transformation.
