CNRI State Chapters
The State-Level Institutional Arm
State Chapters are the principal institutional arms of CNRI at the state level and the vital link between the National Secretariat and grassroots organisations. They ensure the Confederation’s vision, policies and programmes are implemented effectively while responding to each state’s unique development priorities.

Leadership and Governance
Each State Chapter is headed by a State Executive Committee and managed by a State Executive Director — the Chief Executive Officer of the Chapter — who reports functionally to the Secretary General of CNRI. This creates a unified national organisation with decentralised implementation, so every State Chapter can respond to regional needs while staying connected to the national mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and institutional support to member organisations across the state.
- Implementing CNRI’s policies, programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinating District Chapters and communicating with the National Secretariat.
- Organising state-level meetings, seminars, workshops and capacity-building programmes.
- Promoting collaboration among NGOs, cooperatives, SHGs and FPOs.
- Building partnerships with state governments, universities, financial institutions and development agencies.
- Identifying emerging challenges and communicating them for policy intervention.
- Promoting membership expansion and strengthening CNRI’s presence in the state.
Coordination With the National Secretariat
The National Secretariat and State Chapters function as one integrated network. Regular planning meetings, programme reviews, reporting mechanisms and capacity-building initiatives ensure continuous coordination — while grassroots experiences and successful models feed back into evidence-based national policy.
