Shri Parlad S. Toor is a distinguished social leader, entrepreneur, and development professional with extensive experience in community development, rural livelihoods, infrastructure, and organizational leadership across North East India. As the Regional Vice Chairman – North East Region, Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), he is committed to strengthening civil society institutions, promoting sustainable development, and advancing inclusive growth in the region.
With a professional background spanning infrastructure development, renewable energy, tourism, organic farming, and public contracting, Shri Toor has successfully led several initiatives that contribute to regional development and employment generation. He has also served as a government supplier of food grains and has held leadership positions in various transport, labour, and consumer rights organizations.
A dedicated social worker, Shri Toor has been actively involved in supporting underprivileged communities, orphaned children, and rural families through voluntary initiatives. His work in natural and organic farming, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and rural entrepreneurship reflects his commitment to sustainable livelihoods and environmental stewardship.
