Shri P. Sugunakar Rao is a distinguished legal professional, social leader, and rural development advocate from Telangana. A postgraduate in Law from Kakatiya University, Warangal, he has dedicated several decades to public service, community development, and strengthening grassroots institutions. His work has focused on empowering rural communities, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and fostering inclusive social and economic development.

As Co-Chairman & State President of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), Telangana, Shri Sugunakar Rao provides strategic leadership in advancing CNRI’s mission across the state. He is committed to strengthening collaboration among NGOs, community-based organizations, cooperatives, educational institutions, and government agencies to address rural challenges through participatory and sustainable development initiatives.

With his extensive experience in public affairs and community engagement, Shri Sugunakar Rao is guiding CNRI’s efforts to expand its outreach, promote farmer welfare, encourage youth and women’s leadership, and build resilient rural communities. His vision is to foster a vibrant civil society ecosystem that drives inclusive growth, social justice, and sustainable development while contributing to the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat.
