As Co-Chairman of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), he provides strategic guidance in strengthening India’s civil society institutions, promoting rural transformation, advancing cooperative development, and fostering partnerships between government, academia, industry, and grassroots organizations.
A respected thought leader with decades of multidisciplinary experience, Dr. Tripathi has consistently advocated ethical governance, institutional transparency, cooperative economics, and sustainable development. Prior to assuming his leadership role in CNRI, Dr. Tripathi earned national recognition as Chairman of the Board of Directors of United News of India (UNI), one of India’s premier news agencies, where he worked to strengthen institutional governance and uphold the values of credible and independent journalism. His tenure reflected his commitment to transparency, responsible media, and democratic discourse.
He is also the Chairman of Rose Multistate Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., where he has been actively promoting cooperative entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and member-centric development. Under his guidance, the cooperative has focused on expanding inclusive financial opportunities while reinforcing the cooperative model as a sustainable instrument for socio-economic development.
Dr. Tripathi has held several prestigious leadership positions in national and international organizations, including serving as Chairman of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) and leading initiatives through the Indo Pacific Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI).
