Dr. Dharampal Singh

Dr. Dharampal Singh is a distinguished educationist, researcher, and social development leader with over three decades of dedicated service in education, rural development, and community empowerment. Holding a Ph.D. in Education along with multiple postgraduate degrees, he has made significant contributions to educational administration, teacher training, and grassroots capacity building across India.

As the Founder and Secretary General of Kamalnishtha Sansthan and the Federation of Community Radio Stations (FCRS), he has pioneered innovative models for rural education, women’s empowerment, livelihood promotion, and community communication. He is also the CMD of Kamalvani 90.4 FM Community Radio and Executive Editor of the international education journal CHETANA.

Dr. Singh has established rural educational institutions, promoted skill development for women and marginalized communities, and played an important role in developing educational frameworks through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). His pioneering use of community radio for education and social awareness has been widely recognized as a model for inclusive rural development.

As National Vice President of CNRI, Dr. Dharampal Singh strengthens the Confederation’s mission of promoting sustainable rural development, educational excellence, community participation, and social innovation through partnerships with civil society, government, and grassroots institutions.
