Advocate Samvedna Verma is a legal professional and social development leader committed to strengthening the role of law in rural development, cooperative governance, and citizens’ rights. As Co-Chairman and Legal Head of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), she provides strategic legal guidance to the organization, supports policy advocacy, and promotes a transparent and accountable governance framework for the voluntary sector.

With experience in legal practice before the Supreme Court, High Court, and District Courts, she has worked extensively on issues relating to public interest, cooperative institutions, women’s empowerment, and access to justice. She is recognized for translating complex legal and policy issues into practical solutions that benefit grassroots organizations and rural communities.

At CNRI, Adv. Verma plays a key role in strengthening institutional governance, legal compliance, policy formulation, and capacity building for member organizations. She is also associated with national and international initiatives promoting cooperative economics, ethical governance, and inclusive development, and was honoured with the CNRI Lakshmi Sehgal Award 2024 for her contribution to social and legal empowerment.
