- Sonaimuthu is a noted environmentalist, conservationist, and rural development professional serving as the State Coordinator of CNRI, Tamil Nadu. With over 35 years of grassroots experience, he has been at the forefront of biodiversity conservation, climate action, and community-based sustainable development. As the Executive Director of SAADOW Foundation, he has led initiatives in habitat restoration, wildlife conservation, environmental education, and rural empowerment across the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu.
Through his leadership, Sonaimuthu has promoted partnerships among government agencies, civil society organizations, and local communities to protect endangered species, restore ecosystems, and strengthen climate resilience. As CNRI’s State Coordinator, he is committed to expanding the NGO network in Tamil Nadu and advancing inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven rural development.
