Shri Dileep Sanghani is a distinguished parliamentarian, veteran cooperative leader, and farmer-centric policymaker who has devoted more than four decades to public life. A four-term Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Amreli, Gujarat, and former Cabinet Minister in the Government of Gujarat, he has held several key portfolios, including Agriculture, Cooperation, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Law & Justice, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs. Widely respected for his commitment to rural development and the cooperative movement, he currently serves as Patron of the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI), where he provides strategic guidance in strengthening civil society, promoting grassroots governance, and fostering sustainable rural transformation.

Shri Sanghani also serves as the Chairman of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), the world’s largest fertilizer cooperative, and President of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), the apex organization representing India’s cooperative sector. Under his leadership, cooperative institutions have expanded their contribution to agricultural modernization, rural entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods, reinforcing the cooperative model as a powerful instrument of inclusive economic growth.
